Most of us grew up without hearing the word self care, wellness and the sacred feminine. The act of self care means attending to one’s physical or mental health. In addition, it is the methods and products used to soothe comfort and heal the self. 

As the 1st and 2nd generations of women who are self advocating in ways our “AnSistars” have been waiting for. The biggest shifts occurring within a sense of self, mental health and well being by redefining the age of wellness for women.

The life of the modern woman is completely different than that of our mothers, grandmothers and daughters experience. We are strengthening our muscles, sharpening our tongues while simultaneously busting aging & midlife myths. Allowing our bottled truth spill out into boardrooms, on campuses and everywhere else. We’re learning to regulate our nervous systems and menstrual cycles while showing up for ourselves in better, healthier ways. 

The bloom & boom of Spirituality is paving the way for the upcoming generations, who are not only more consciously aware of themselves, but also their sacred relationship between the spirit, society and Earth.

We’re headed towards a new cycle with the impending Age of Aquarius influence. Intuition, like manifestation and self care, are a few of the top Google searches from around the world, 

demonstrating it’s not slowing down, but evolving. Lastly, with this age of wellness, it’s important to recognize that intuition is also a part of our self care and wellness as Spirituality continues to influence every aspect of our lives.

Are you feeling a shift occurring in your life, your self care and wellness practices? 

  1. You Are What You Eat. 

Be mindful and conscious of what you consume, both internally and externally. Oftentimes we are eating on the run, completely unconscious of the food we are eating, where it came from and how it nourishes us from the inside out. 

  1. Your Energy is Everything. 

Start to notice when your energy goes up and down. Where, when & who you’re with. Get to know how you feel and the sense while out in the world. This will provides crystal clear clarity for what serves + supports and what doesn’t. 

  1. To Flow Requires Movement. 

To flow we must be in movement, which is action. Just as a river in constantly moves,  if it stops, then it just becomes a pond. It’s not about having a busy life but a soft, slow and steady one, like gentle stream.  Allowing flow is how we grow and glow. 

  1. Be in Nature

The sun restores as the moon inspires. Get on the ground, be in nature. Immerse yourself at least 10 to 30 minutes a day. Make it fun, meaningful and inspiring not just a check on the To Do list. 

  1. Learn to Regulate Your Nervous System. 

Most of us don’t realize that our anxiety, sense of overwhelm and burnout come from an over burdened nervous system. Learning our nervous system, its inner magic and functioning for us supports us in more ways than one. Check in, how do you feel right now? 

  1. Be a self advocate, activist & authority.

Your wellness matters, so as an advocate, stand up for what you believe both inside and outside. More than just talking to your friends, connect with women from around the world, expand your circles. Be an activist by being active in the Sistarhood community both locally & globally. Be an authority. Self authority is acknowledging you own your world and you are the queen of your universe. Recognize that you are the author + authority of your inner and worlds. 

  1. Learn How Your Mind Works. 

Individually and collectively we are discovering how neurodiverse we are. Discover how your mind works,  not only how it was conditioned to work or taught to work, but how your unique brain and mind tick.

  1. Discover your Astrology.
